An all-time favourite dessert originating from the Bengal region of the India, the name Rasmalai comes from two Bengali words: rōś, meaning "juice", and mālāi, meaning "cream". Rasmalai makes great desserts after lunch or dinner but can also be eaten as a snack between meals. Some people have also described it as a cheesecake without a crust.
